Thanksgiving Traditions That Never Grow Old
There are so many simple and special traditions wrapped around Thanksgiving. Every year you just know you will be getting your "game face" on for a football game, while gobbling down some turkey and stuffing...and somehow finding that extra room for pumpkin pie!
What I love most about Thanksgiving is that traditions happen every year, no matter what life
is throwing your way! Recently, I moved to Dallas, Texas. I grew up in a suburb
outside of Chicago, Illinois, and I attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame,
Indiana. Now that I live in Dallas, it feels weird to be so far from home. I used to be
able to drive home from school in two hours and spend time with my family whenever
I wanted to. As much as I love my life in Dallas, I’ve surely felt homesick from time to
time! A special fix for this has been by Live Love Gameday® family and new friends.
This is why gratitude is so important. I’m so thankful for my family, and I am especially
thankful that I get to share Thanksgiving with them! My mom makes the best dinner
rolls. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about them! My brother and I
usually cut them half and stick the turkey in the middle for a classic turkey
sandwich. Not only do we have homemade pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving…but my family
makes a FAMOUS "Whipped Cream Pie” that is filled with oreos and whipped cream
goodness. So delicious!

The holiday season is all about creating memories and traditions with the ones you love.
